Noosa: Things to do.
Noosa's Hastings Street represents a colourful and chic Esplanade that is home to many of Australia's finest fashion boutiques, Galleries, restaurants and cafe's. Hasting Street represents the Hub of Noosa's tourist strip and has so much to offer including golden beaches, BBQ facilities down the spit and great swimming all year round due to the protection offered by the Noosa headland from the southerly swells. Noosa's Hastings Street is the place to be.
Noosa's headland is home to another Sunshine Coast Icon "The Noosa national Park" where Koalas, walking tracks, nature abound and untouched beaches can be found.
Noosa has so much to offer the holidaymaker or new settler where nature reigns and an emphasis has been placed on conservation of the environment in every development.
Noosa also has so much to offer that it's also very cheap! There are heaps of things to do just hanging out in Noosa!
1. Noosa National Park. This is Noosas’ very famous National Park. I would really recommend take a picnic lunch and swim along to way. Maybe you can even see a turtle. Koala Spotting along the Noosa National Park tracks is aways fun and a rewarding experience to view Koalas in the gum trees.
2. Dolphin spotting in the Noosa National Park see how many dolphins you can spot! At
“Dolphin Point” you are bound to see loads!!!
3. Watch the whales. Each year at least 1200 humpbacks migrate 5000km to the eastern coast of Australia from Antarctic waters north to Whitsundays area mid June passing by Noosa and within view for the Noosa National Park. Many whales come within 100mtrs of the Noosa coast The whales southern migration is over by early November.
4. Surfboard and Body boarding Riding along Noosa famous beaches is a great way to spend a summer day. Noosa Festival of Surfing is an annual event where participants and spectators attend Noosa from all over the world.
5.The walk to Noosa Lookout in the late afternoon and view the amazing Noosa sunsets. Cost- free free free!
6.In the parks by the Noosa River (Noosa Woods) is a great place to enjoy a BBQ with some friends! Most bbq's in Noosa are free although some attract a small charge.
7. Bike riding along the Noosa River bike tracks.
8.Noosa Ferry ride to explore Noosa along the river system is amazing!
9. Noosa Farmers Market – Every Sunday supporting our local farmers. Loads of fresh produce from around Noosa, Local Noosa yummy breads and delish sweets.
10. The Tewantin Markets are on every Sunday in Tewantin. There is local transport running every 15-25 min from Noosa or alternatively you can also get there via the Noosa Ferry.
11. Noosa Sunset Ferry through the River along the Noosa Woods and Noosa Sound. The Noosa Ferry converts to a very cool sunset ferry at night. BYO booze and they'll even supply glasses and ice! Lush! Take a trip as the sun goes down
12. Fishing from the sandy shores at the Noosa River mouth. Catch and eat!!!
13. Beach volleyball can be played at the Main beach Noosa.
14. Noosa has an indoor rock climbing wall of 15 Meter Height. 65 Individual climbs.
9. Noosa River fitness and exercises in the parks alongside the Noosa River, a great place to exercise as the sun comes up. You won’t be alone.
20 Noosa is home to some of the freshest and tastiest food in Australia! Every style of cuisine with internationally renowned chefs.
13. Fish and chips on the beach or the river at Noosa – The great thing about Noosa is the Fish is fresh and not expensive. There is definitely no shortage of fish and chip shops!!!
16. Live music and a nice cold beer can be had at the many Noosa local bars and restaurants.and listening to some tunes! Sunday Session with live bands.
17. Noosa has a local cinema that will provide some indoor entertainment when the sun is too much or the day is rainy.
